In case you’re having troubles with the new UIX (a LOT of people have been):

Enter: Spooky Season

Army of Darkness: Ash Saves Obama  Devolution  The Twilight Zone

The Dynamite Halloween Sale runs through Sunday, 11/1.

Dynamite does quite a bit of horror and ’tis the season. Let’s have a look at some highlights:

Yes, there’s some variety to the horror and some new creations in the mix. We would also note that a certain Mr. Straczynski was a story editor on the 80s revival of The Twilight Zone.

We’ve been meaning to continue on with the Priest Vampirella run. The first volume was interesting.

Something Might Be Up at DC

Crisis on Infinite Earths  Legion of Super Heroes The Great Darkness Saga  Swamp Thing

There’s no formal sale up that we’re seeing, but we’re also noticing a flurry of price changes at DC. Some of it’s the usual 5% fluctations common to Amazon. Some of it is volumes dropping from $12.99 to $9.99, which is also normal. But a few of the larger volumes (more than 6 issues collected) have also been dropping.  Examples:

Might be nothing, might be another pricing experiment (DC sure seems to love these since they hired new digital people), might be ramping up for a new sale next week. Hard to say, but keep your eyes open. $9.99 isn’t a great price for those sorts of books, but it’s better than they’re often priced.

Unannounced Sales

Star Wars: Tales from the Rancor Pit Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Star Wars Hyperspace Stories

As always, it isn’t clear when the unannounced sales will end.

Dark Horse has applied discounts to their Star Wars line of comics:

Dark Horse is still having a sale on Frank Miller’s Sin City, Miller’s hugely influential hardboiled series.

Dark Horse is also still having a sale on Geoff Darrow’s Shaolin Cowboy. Darrow is very nearly a genre unto himself and if you want extra detail in your art and double the action, he might be your huckleberry.
